What happens when RAIN is forecast for the concert?

In the case of rain, the concert will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 31 Sulphur Springs Rd. (Just down and across the street).
St. Andrew’s, which can include 175 people, will be on a first come, first serve basis.
There is no accommodation for wheelchairs.

What is the cost of attending a concert?

Music at Fieldcote prides itself on being publicly funded and has become an integral part of the Ancaster community for 23 years. It is because of the dedicated viewers and our sponsors that the Fieldcote performances have grown to become part of an Ancaster staple. It is this reason why we ask for your donations to help fund and support current and future performances. The Fieldcote Stage has helped many artists get exposure over the years and provide an artistic avenue for those in the community. Donations are collected at the gates by our volunteers. Donations can also be made online and via check to Fieldcote Memorial Park and Museum.

Where can I park?

Accessible parking only is available at Fieldcote Memorial Park & Museum on concert day. A visible city issued decal must be displayed. Other areas to park that are near the concert venue; behind Ryerson Church (access from Wilson St. E or off of Sulphur Springs; behind Memorial School (access through Queen St. off of Sulphur Springs Rd); behind the Medical centre (323 Wilson St. E corner of Wilson St. E & Sulphur Springs); behind the Old Fire hall (334 Wilson St. E.); behind the library/municipal office (300 Wilson St. E). On the day of the concert, there will be volunteers directing people to the parking areas and there will be lawn signs indicating the parking areas.

Is there assigned seating?

The seating is GENERAL ~ first come first served. It is an open air park so you will be sitting on the grass. You are welcome to bring a lawn chair or blanket. There are some picnic tables at the top of the hill in case you would like to picnic.

Is there food available?

At this time there is not food available on site; however, there are a number of places within 5-10 minute walking distance from Fieldcote. They are Purple Pony (ice-cream), Tim Horton’s, Coffee Culture, Cavallo Nero (Italian), India Village, Rousseaux House, Coach & Lantern pub & Ancaster Pizza (take out only).

Will CD’s be sold after the concert?

Most of the musicians will bring their current/past CD’s to sell before and after the concert.

How early should I arrive?

The concerts begin at 7 pm sharp. People start arriving at 6 pm with the majority arriving from 6:30 onward. You can certainly arrive earlier and have a picnic and pick out a favourite spot!

Is the museum open to the public on Sunday?

The Museum is not open to the public on Sunday. The museum is open only for the Musicians. The Museum is open Tuesday – Saturday 1-5pm.

Are there public washrooms available?

The Outdoor public washrooms are at the top of the hill just next to the parking lot. They are wheelchair accessible.
